more ceramics

I like a big cup to drink out of and I have been experimenting with the right size, shape, clay, glaze. I think I like Holy Moly in terracotta with patchy white glaze. Maybe a production piece? I also would like to make a production jug too.

bronze castings....

Smile in bronze.
Brick in bronze currently getting white powder coated.
 Fringe and Smile in bronze.
Fringe in bronze currently getting white powder coated.

Holy Moly in bronze currently getting white powder coated.
Holy Shit and Ahhh in bronze currently getting white powder coated.
Silence is Golden in bronze. I am thinking of putting into production and getting gold plated and a more expensive version in sterling silver.
Silence is Golden. Maybe with some stone set in eyes?

coated lockets

So I have trying to think of ways to make the lockets more affordable as the cost of sterling silver keeps rising. I have tried silver coating the bronze ones and the up one is a white powder coated version which I am growing more fond of.

Big Aster

I finally got around to hanging my new purchase from David Neale. He was lovely enough to make an extra big Aster for me in white. It's a lovely thing to go to sleep looking at or to see when waking up. Thanks David.

potential earrings

I love this raku clay but it's such a shame ceramic jewellery breaks so easily...Put on silver loops, they may work.

highlight of my week, month, possibly year

On an excursion to ACMI Gamemasters and Fed Square NGV, I was gobsmacked to spot Noel Fielding. With another teacher/fan Paul, he encouraged us to approach him. Nervous and sweaty, we had a quick chat. It's so great to find him polite, softly spoken, lovely and charming. I told him that only yesterday I had posted off my masters application citing him as one of my influences. A good sign, fingers crossed. How could anyone not love a man who dresses up as a sting ray?

cool hunting we're revolting feature

It's funny being part of a show that happens overseas when you have not seen the space, met the curator or any of the other artists (except for David). Now I have finally seen a pic of the famous blogger Su and what the Creatures of Comfort in LA and the show looks like. Nice one! and above are my 'oddball' lockets. Thanks again Su. Check out the Cool Hunting feature.
