I'm a bit obsessed with Pinterest atm, especially all the gooey clay work I have been seeing. So I have been inspired to make more stuff but in the meantime here is some older stuff I have finally gotten around to taking a few pictures of...

figure and ground - untopian slumps

I almost missed this guy up in the top corner but once our eyes met, it was true love. Concrete, we must meet and make friends some time.

Are they strange cacti in the back next to the weighed down trolley of big lump-o-rock?
Concret totem with a touch of terrazzo.
Spastic/plastic looking koala, I love you.
Is ceramics loosing its dagginess? Surely if it's at Utopian Slumps.

I was talking to some friends on the weekend who inspired me to knock out that brick wall of my garage and extend the door into a double glass sliding doors. Mark said all it took was a few youTube tutorials.
Found some doors on eBay, source a trailer then light filled studio here I come. Thanks Mark, Lisa and Gwyneth.

Another reason why I haven't been blogging

I moved into my Preston unit over an month ago now and have been finding paint in my hair ever since. I finally finished the zig zag wall, thanks to a handy online tutorial. Nails in the wall and some artwork up. Yay. Next, a garage studio but fixing the leaky roof.

Creative Women's Circle

In late 2004, Interior Designer Dearne Herrenberg brought together a small group of creative, like-minded, talented women working in creative industries and establishing small businesses, in order to share information, inspiration and ideas. Get-togethers were held every few months at MARS Gallery in Port Melbourne, and attendees enjoyed hearing the experiences of many Melbourne based creative women.

A little profile of mine is featured on their site. Thanks Dearne!

Keys to new place

I get the keys to my new home today....it's not a rock factory with a barber tower but it was built in 1977, as my friend said, the year punk broke. This guy will appear in Home Time opening on the 19th At Craft Victoria.
